weSTEM at New York University Abu Dhabi is a Student Interest Group that supports women, non-binary individuals, and male-identifying allies interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

Our mission is to increase the participation of women and non-binary individuals interested in the STEM fields
To achieve this mission and build an empowering community, we focus on four areas:

Creating an environment that fosters a culture of allyship involves empowering individuals to build meaningful connections, promoting mutual support and understanding, and encouraging a collaborative atmosphere where inclusivity and respect are valued.

Demonstrating the significant value of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the STEM fields by fostering innovative perspectives and driving efforts to create meaningful cultural change across NYU Abu Dhabi and extending its impact to the global community.

Supporting students in their academic and professional careers by offering valuable networking opportunities, fostering leadership development through tailored programs, providing access to experienced mentoring, and equipping them with essential resources for long-term success.

Inspiring young students in the region to explore and engage with STEM fields by organizing interactive workshops, hosting impactful conferences, and creating hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and passion for science and technology.
